I’m home! I’m HOME! :)

In case you can’t tell from the time stamps on the last few posts, I’m just now finishing up the last of my reviews from my trip. Truth is, I finally made it home on Saturday, October the 23rd … but I came home to my husband having to have surgery, so things have been a little time-crunched the last week. It’s just taken me some time to get caught up.

The recap:

  • I flew out of Seattle on September 14th–and returned home on October 23rd–so I traveled a total of thirty-nine days.
  • I flew into Jacksonville, FL–bought a used car in Tifton, GA about a week after I arrived–and then drove 6,156 miles home from there.

  • Out of 39 days on the road, I only bought five nights total in a hotel room: and it would have been four if I hadn’t broke down in Superior, MT that last day. What that means is … I have an awesome collection of friends and family. I love you all … more than you can ever know! :)

I still haven’t finished unloading and inventorying my trunk yet. I’ve been sort of busy with my husband’s health … but I’ll have it for you soon!

So I’m tired–and I’m awful glad to be home–but I had an absolute BLAST on the AFoodJourneyToGo 2010 Tour! It was quite an adventure, and I really, REALLY enjoyed getting to see all my friends and family! It’s been too long since I’ve seen some of them … but hopefully it won’t be long before I can do something like this again.

Once I rest a bit, of course :)

He’s doing okay, just sore from them leaving drains and bandages stitched to him for a solid week! They’re supposed to be cutting it all loose Thursday morning, so we’ll see how he’s doing from there …

Yeah, Steve & Donna are awesome! I’m so glad you’re getting the opportunity to get to know them better! You’ll rapidly come to know how they’ve been my friends for more than 35 years now :)

Miss you! Talk to you soon!
